Product Description
Original inert WW1 German 7.92×57 Mauser cartridge produced in 1916 by Polte Armaturen- und Maschinenfabrik AG, Magdeburg, Germany.
The headstamp “S67 S 16” identifies this as an Imperial German military spitzer (“S-Patrone”) loading manufactured during the First World War for use in the Gewehr 98 and other German service rifles.
“S67” is the well-known wartime manufacturer code for Polte Magdeburg, one of Germany’s largest ammunition producers during WW1 and WW2.
This example features the classic early cupro-nickel pointed projectile associated with Imperial German military ammunition of the period.
A highly collectible original WW1 German Mauser cartridge with strong markings and historical military significance.
