Collection: WW1 Trio's

The WW1 Trio refers to a group of three campaign medals awarded to members of the British and Imperial Forces who served in World War I. The three medals in the trio are:

  1. The 1914 or 1914-15 Star: This bronze medal was awarded to those who served in a theatre of war between August 5th, 1914, and December 31st, 1915, or between August 5th, 1914, and December 31st, 1915, and who had not previously been awarded the 1914 Star.

  2. The British War Medal: This silver medal was awarded to those who served in a theatre of war between August 5th, 1914, and November 11th, 1918, or who served in Russia between August 5th, 1914, and April 16th, 1919.

  3. The Victory Medal: This bronze medal was awarded to those who served in a theatre of war between August 5th, 1914, and November 11th, 1918.

The three medals were often worn together and became known as the WW1 Trio. They were awarded to soldiers, sailors, airmen, and nurses who served in the First World War and were designed to recognize the service and sacrifice of those who fought in the conflict.

The WW1 Trio is a popular collectible among military history enthusiasts and collectors, and many people seek out specific combinations of regiments or units to add to their collections.
