Product Description

An original WW2 .30-06 Springfield inert cartridge featuring the DEN 43 headstamp, identifying wartime production by the Denver Ordnance Plant, USA during the Second World War.

The .30-06 Springfield cartridge became one of the most famous military rifle calibres ever produced and served as the primary US service cartridge throughout WW2. It was used extensively in iconic American firearms such as the M1 Garand, M1903 Springfield rifle, BAR, and Browning machine guns.

The DEN marking identifies manufacture at the Denver Ordnance Plant, one of the United States wartime ammunition production facilities established to meet the enormous ammunition demands of Allied military operations during the war. Dated 1943, this cartridge originates from the height of American wartime industrial production.

WW2 American .30-06 cartridges remain highly collectible due to their strong connection with US forces across Europe and the Pacific theatres. Different wartime arsenal markings such as DEN are increasingly sought after by collectors building manufacturer or date-specific collections.

This example retains authentic wartime appearance with clear headstamp markings and attractive age-related patina, making it an excellent collectible for enthusiasts of US WW2 militaria, Garand history, or American military ammunition.
