Product Description
An original WW2 .30-06 Springfield blank inert cartridge featuring the LC 1942 headstamp, identifying wartime production by the famous Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, USA.
The .30-06 Springfield cartridge served as the standard rifle and machine gun calibre of the United States military throughout the Second World War and was used extensively in iconic firearms such as the M1 Garand, M1903 Springfield, BAR, and various Browning machine guns.
This example is a genuine blank loading, originally intended for military training exercises, manoeuvres, ceremonial use, and weapon function testing. Blank rounds were produced in large quantities during WW2 to support the rapid expansion and training of American forces during the war.
The LC marking identifies manufacture at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, one of America’s most important wartime ammunition facilities. Dated 1942, this cartridge originates from the first full year of major US wartime mobilisation following America’s entry into WW2.
The cartridge retains authentic wartime appearance with strong military character and clear headstamp markings, making it an excellent collectible for enthusiasts of US WW2 militaria, Garand history, or military training ammunition.
