Product Description
Original First World War Italian 9mm Glisenti cartridge, manufactured by Fiocchi and dated 1918.
The clearly marked brass case carries the FIOCCHI 18 9 headstamp, identifying the well-known Italian ammunition manufacturer and its 1918 production.
The 9mm Glisenti was an Italian military pistol and submachine-gun cartridge associated particularly with the Glisenti Model 1910 pistol and other Italian 9mm weapons of the First World War period. Although dimensionally very similar to the 9mm Parabellum, the original Glisenti loading was a distinct cartridge.
This example retains an attractive period appearance with a brass case and characteristic projectile profile. A particularly desirable dated example for an Italian WWI, pistol-ammunition or headstamp collection.
