Product Description
This original 37mm Pom-Pom projectile is a striking example of early quick-firing ammunition associated with the famous Maxim-Nordenfelt “Pom-Pom” gun, used during the Boer War and into the First World War period. These projectiles are highly collectable due to their distinctive shape, historic importance, and strong display presence.
The 37mm Pom-Pom became one of the earliest successful automatic cannon types, and its ammunition is now increasingly sought after by collectors of Boer War, WW1, and early artillery militaria. This example retains its classic steel body, copper driving bands, and period profile, all of which give it excellent authenticity and visual impact. The visible markings to the nose further add to its collector appeal.
This projectile has been rendered completely inert and safe, with no active components, making it suitable for display, study, or inclusion in a serious militaria collection. Its age-related finish and honest wear only add to the character of the piece and reflect its genuine history.
A scarce and desirable item of early artillery history, ideal for collectors of inert ordnance and pre-WW2 militaria.
