Product Description

An original WW1 .30-06 Springfield inert cartridge featuring the classic WRA Co 1918 headstamp, identifying wartime production by the famous Winchester Repeating Arms Company, USA.

The .30-06 Springfield cartridge became the standard US military rifle calibre during the First World War and went on to serve American armed forces for decades afterward. During WW1 it was widely used in iconic service rifles such as the M1903 Springfield and M1917 Enfield, as well as various Browning machine guns entering service during the conflict.

The WRA Co marking identifies manufacture by Winchester Repeating Arms Company, one of America’s most historic firearms and ammunition manufacturers. Dated 1918, this cartridge originates from the final year of the First World War and represents wartime American ammunition production during the peak of US mobilisation for overseas combat operations.

WW1-dated .30-06 cartridges are increasingly sought after by collectors due to their direct connection with American Expeditionary Forces service in Europe and their association with early 20th century US military history.

This example retains authentic wartime appearance with clear headstamp markings and attractive age-related patina, making it an excellent addition to collections focused on WW1 militaria, US military ammunition, or historic American rifles.
