Product Description
The US Army Utility Webbing Belt from World War II is a quintessential piece of military gear, designed for durability and practicality in the field. Made from strong, woven cotton webbing, these belts were an essential part of the soldier’s uniform, used to support a range of equipment including pouches, ammunition, and tools. The webbing material was chosen for its strength and ability to withstand the rigors of combat, ensuring the belt could carry heavy loads without breaking or fraying.
Typically featuring metal buckle fastenings, the US Army Utility Webbing Belts were adjustable to fit various waist sizes and offered flexibility and comfort for soldiers in the field. The belts were often worn with the M1928 and M1941 equipment setups, supporting gear such as the M1911 pistol holster, first aid pouch, and other field essentials.
During WWII, these utility belts were produced in large quantities, with a variety of manufacturers contributing to the supply. Today, they are highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts of WWII military memorabilia for their historical value and iconic design. Whether for display or functional use, a well-preserved US Army Utility Webbing Belt is a fine example of the practical and rugged gear used by soldiers during the war.
