Product Description

This T. Cooke London Brass Prismatic Nautical Navigation Compass is a stunning example of classic maritime instrumentation, beautifully crafted and mounted on a decorative brass stand. Known for precision optical and scientific instruments, T. Cooke & Sons of London were respected makers throughout the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Made from solid brass, the compass features a prismatic sighting system, allowing navigators to take accurate bearings while viewing their heading. The floating card is finely marked, and the rotating bezel ring is fully functional, ideal for traditional nautical navigation. Its glass cover is clear, and all working parts operate smoothly, making this not only a striking display piece but also a functional navigational tool.

The compass is elegantly presented on a brass stand, making it perfect for desktop or shelf display in an office, study, or nautical-themed setting. The engraved maker’s mark, “T. Cooke London,” affirms its craftsmanship and historical significance.

This piece is ideal for collectors of maritime antiques, steampunk décor enthusiasts, or lovers of nautical history. Whether used for its original purpose or showcased as a conversation piece, this prismatic compass with stand captures the spirit of maritime exploration and Victorian-era engineering.
