Product Description

The headstamp reads PC 43, identifying Peters Cartridge Company and the year of manufacture, 1943.

Peters Cartridge Company was an established American ammunition manufacturer which became part of Remington Arms. During the Second World War, its Kings Mills facility contributed to the production of ammunition for the US armed forces.

The .30 Carbine cartridge was developed for the American M1 Carbine, a lightweight semi-automatic weapon extensively used by US forces throughout WWII, including airborne troops, vehicle crews and support personnel.

This original example retains its brass cartridge case and copper-coloured round-nosed bullet. The headstamp is clearly visible, with traces of purple primer sealant and age-related patina to the case.
