Product Description

Original U.S. Navy MK-2 Model O Solar Drinking Water Still manufactured by Breslee Mfg. Co., Inc. and packed in March 1949.

Designed for emergency survival situations at sea, this compact desalination device formed part of U.S. Naval Aviation and life raft survival equipment. The still was used to convert seawater into drinkable water through solar evaporation and condensation, providing a vital source of fresh water for downed aircrew and shipwreck survivors.

This example remains sealed within its original translucent storage pouch and retains its original printed instruction label. Marked with NavAer Specification M-708 and contract details, it represents an interesting piece of early Cold War U.S. military survival equipment.

A scarce and unusual item ideal for collectors of U.S. Navy, aviation, survival, maritime or Cold War militaria.
