Product Description
An original inert U.S. .45 ACP (Automatic Colt Pistol) cartridge featuring the RA headstamp, denoting manufacture by Remington Arms for the United States military during the Second World War.
The .45 ACP was the standard U.S. military pistol and submachine gun cartridge throughout WWII, issued for the iconic Colt M1911A1 pistol, Thompson submachine gun, and later the M3 "Grease Gun". Remington Arms was one of the principal wartime manufacturers, producing millions of cartridges to support Allied operations worldwide.
Depending on the headstamp, wartime examples are commonly marked RA 41, RA 42, RA 43, RA 4 (1944) or RA 45. In 1944, many U.S. ammunition manufacturers used a single "4" instead of "44" to speed production by modifying existing headstamp dies.
This genuine inert example is ideal for collectors of WWII U.S. ammunition, M1911 and Thompson memorabilia, or military headstamp collections.
