Original Eccles Protector Lamp & Lighting Co Ltd Type 6 Ministry of Power safety lamp bearing Approval No. B/28. These historic British mining lamps were produced for use within the coal mining industry and formed an important part of underground mine safety equipment during the mid-20th century.
Manufactured by the renowned Eccles Protector Lamp & Lighting Co Ltd, these lamps were designed to operate safely in hazardous mining environments where explosive gases such as firedamp posed a constant danger. Ministry of Power approval markings indicate official British government certification for underground industrial use.
