Product Description
Original British .450/.400 sporting rifle cartridge manufactured by Eley Brothers of London, one of Britain's most established historic ammunition manufacturers.
This example bears the distinctive ELEY LONDON 450/400 headstamp and features a brass bottleneck case with a round-nosed, copper-jacketed bullet.
The .450/.400 family of cartridges dates from the late Victorian period and became closely associated with British sporting rifles and big-game hunting in Africa and India.
These cartridges were particularly popular in British double rifles and were manufactured by several leading ammunition companies, including Eley and Kynoch.
