Product Description
An original British Army issue military whistle manufactured by the famous J. Hudson & Co., Birmingham, one of Britain's best-known whistle makers and suppliers to military and government organisations for over a century. J. Hudson & Co. became internationally renowned for producing whistles for police, military, civil defence and emergency services and continues to manufacture whistles today under the ACME brand.
This example is stamped:
J. HUDSON
BIRMINGHAM
975-7001
Broad Arrow Government Ownership Mark
The Broad Arrow denotes British Government property, while the stock number identifies it as an official service pattern whistle issued for military use. These whistles were commonly carried by British Army personnel for training, signalling, marshalling and emergency communication purposes.
Constructed from durable nickel-plated metal and retaining clear markings, this is an excellent example of Cold War and post-war British military equipment and would make an ideal addition to any British Army, Falklands, Cold War or military signalling collection.
Condition: Very good original condition with clear markings and working mechanism. Signs of service wear consistent with age and use.
