Product Description

Not sure as to the origins of this bayonet. It was sold as a No5 to me however there are no discernable markings indicating where the bayonet came from. There are some small marks on the rear of the bayonet which connects to the rifle. the bayonet is well-made and in good condition. The bayonet does fit a standard scabbard, however, this bayonet does not have one. In my opinion, the bayonet would be ideal for a  display or reenacting. I have priced the bayonet accordingly.

Any help with Identifying please email

The No. 5 Bayonet was the bayonet used with the No 5 Lee-Enfield which is nicknamed the "Jungle carbine ". The bayonet was a blade that marked a return of the British Army to using blade-type bayonets like the Pattern 1907 bayonet instead of socket bayonets such as the No. 4 Bayonets used on the No. 4 Lee-Enfield.
