Product Description

This is an excellent condition Microphone Hand No. 4A, a key component used with the British Wireless Sets No. 18 and No. 68 during the Second World War. These compact, rugged field sets provided short-range communication for infantry units and paratroopers. The No. 4A microphone features a press-to-talk switch and robust cabling, designed for harsh battlefield conditions. Its bakelite housing and metal fittings are in superb condition, showing minimal wear, with clear markings and a responsive switch mechanism.

As part of the British Army’s tactical radio equipment from the early 1940s, this microphone played a vital role in coordinating troop movements and maintaining communication under fire. Highly sought after by collectors and military radio enthusiasts, this piece represents both wartime innovation and field reliability.
