Product Description

The King George VI Silver Crown features a classic design that is typical of British crown coins. The obverse side of the coin showcases a right-facing portrait of King George VI, wearing a crown and adorned in royal regalia. The inscription "GEORGIVS VI D.G. BRITT: OMN: REX F.D. IND: IMP:" surrounds the portrait, which stands for "George VI, by the Grace of God, King of all the Britains, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India."

On the reverse side of the coin, there is a depiction of St. George slaying a dragon, a motif that has been used on many British coins throughout history. The design is encircled by the inscription "FID: DEF: IND: IMP:" meaning "Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India."

The King George VI Silver Crown has a diameter of 38.61 millimeters and is made of 0.500 fine silver. It has a weight of approximately 28.28 grams. The edge of the coin is milled, providing a textured appearance.
