Product Description

The Israeli 8x57mm K98 Mauser 1952 Dated Brass Cartridge is a piece of military history, produced for the iconic Mauser K98 rifle, which was widely used by the German military during World War II and later adopted by Israel in the post-war period. This particular cartridge is notable for its 1952 production year, marking the time when Israel was transitioning from surplus weapons left over from the Second World War to more modernized military equipment.

The 8x57mm Mauser round itself is a classic full-power rifle cartridge, renowned for its effectiveness in both military and hunting applications. It features a robust brass case, which provides durability and reliable performance in demanding conditions. The cartridge was designed to fire a heavy, high-velocity projectile that delivers significant stopping power, making it suitable for both infantry and machine gun applications.

The 1952-dated brass case, often stamped with Israeli military markings, provides a unique historical connection to the early years of Israel's defense forces. It reflects the use of surplus Mauser rifles in the Israeli military during the 1950s and early 1960s. Collectors value these cartridges for their historical significance and rarity, particularly those from specific years or military production runs, making this a must-have for enthusiasts of military ammunition and firearms history.
