Product Description
This inert WWII .303 British Lee–Enfield round, dated 1940 was manufactured by the Ministry of Supply Factory at Radway Green, Cheshire, one of Britain’s principal wartime ammunition plants. The headstamp clearly shows the 1940 date and “RG” factory code, confirming its early-war production. This example has been professionally deactivated/inerted, containing no live primer or propellant, making it completely safe for display.
Retaining its original wartime brass case and full metal jacket projectile, it offers an authentic representation of the ammunition issued to British and Commonwealth forces using the Lee–Enfield rifle. Ideal for collectors, reenactors, museums, educational displays, or anyone building a WWII ordnance collection. Each round may show light age patina appropriate for an original 1940s piece.
In terms of performance, the .303 British round was well-regarded for its effectiveness and range during its time in service. It was used in various conflicts around the world and gained a reputation for its stopping power and reliability.
