Product Description

This original KYNOCH 8mm M.S inert cartridge represents a fine example of early-to-mid 20th century British sporting ammunition manufacture. Produced by Kynoch of Birmingham, one of Britain’s most respected ammunition manufacturers founded in 1862, these cartridges were renowned for their quality, reliability, and widespread export to sporting rifle users across the world.

The “8mm M.S” designation refers to the 8mm Mannlicher-Schoenauer cartridge, developed for the famous Mannlicher-Schoenauer sporting rifles, which were widely used by hunters and sportsmen throughout Europe, Africa, and beyond during the early 1900s. These rifles and their ammunition gained a strong reputation for accuracy and effectiveness in hunting applications.

This example has been professionally rendered inert and is completely safe for handling and display. It retains its original brass case, clear KYNOCH headstamp, and full bullet profile, showing excellent preservation and minimal wear. Such cartridges provide valuable reference pieces illustrating British commercial ammunition production and international sporting rifle heritage.

An excellent addition to any ammunition, militaria, or sporting arms collection, this inert KYNOCH 8mm M.S round offers both historical interest and strong display appeal.
