Product Description
-
This inert 7×57mm Mauser cartridge was manufactured by Deutsche Waffen‑ und Munitionsfabriken (DWM), one of Germany’s most prominent ammunition producers during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The cartridge features the distinctive “DWM KV” headstamp, identifying its manufacturer and production batch, and represents authentic German military ammunition from the Mauser service era.
The 7×57mm Mauser cartridge was widely adopted around the world and became known for its excellent accuracy, flat trajectory, and dependable performance. It was used extensively in military rifles and saw service across multiple continents, particularly during the early 20th century. German‑manufactured examples such as this are highly desirable due to their quality production and clear historical association.
This example has been professionally rendered inert, with no powder or active primer present, making it completely safe for collectors, display, or educational purposes. The brass casing retains its original military markings, offering excellent visual appeal and historical authenticity.
Ideal for collectors of German militaria, Mauser rifle displays, or vintage ammunition collections, this DWM cartridge represents a genuine and tangible piece of early military ammunition history. A fine and collectible example from a renowned German manufacturer.
