Product Description

This original inert DWM 6.5 Mannlicher Schoenauer soft nose cartridge is an excellent example of early 20th century European sporting ammunition, manufactured by the prestigious Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken (DWM). The cartridge features the distinctive “KK 477” headstamp, identifying it as a DWM catalogue-listed calibre produced for the famous Mannlicher Schoenauer rifle system.

The 6.5x54 Mannlicher Schoenauer cartridge was introduced in 1903 and became highly regarded for its accuracy, smooth feeding, and effective performance on medium game. It was widely used throughout Europe, Africa, and India, and became one of the most respected sporting calibres of its era. The soft nose projectile enhanced expansion, making it particularly suitable for hunting applications.

This inert example retains its original brass case and soft nose bullet, with clear manufacturer markings and excellent collector appeal. It has been professionally deactivated and contains no live primer or propellant, ensuring it is completely safe for handling and display.
