Product Description

Original inert .303 British Mk VII cartridge with RL 07 headstamp, manufactured in 1907 by the Royal Laboratory, Woolwich Arsenal, London.

Original British .303 inch Mark VI service cartridge, manufactured by the Royal Laboratory, Woolwich Arsenal in 1907.

The headstamp is marked R↑L / 07 / VI, with R↑L identifying the Royal Laboratory and incorporating the British Government Broad Arrow, 07 indicating 1907 manufacture, and VI identifying the Mark VI cartridge.

The Mk VI was Britain's final principal round-nosed .303 ball cartridge before adoption of the pointed Mk VII in 1910. This makes the 1907 date particularly attractive, placing this example immediately before the transition to the famous Mk VII service cartridge.

It retains the characteristic long round-nosed cupro-nickel jacketed projectile, together with its original brass case and clearly legible Royal Laboratory headstamp.
