Product Description

This original inert 9mm Parabellum round, dated 1981 and marked with the TZ headstamp, was manufactured by Israel Military Industries (IMI / Ta’as). The “TZ” headstamp identifies the Israeli factory responsible for producing high-quality military 9mm ammunition during the late Cold War era. IMI rounds were issued to the Israeli Defence Forces and exported to NATO and allied nations, making them historically significant to collectors of modern military ammunition.

The 9mm Parabellum cartridge was standard for pistols and submachine guns, including the Uzi and other 9mm platforms. This 1981 TZ round reflects IMI’s precise manufacturing standards, with reliable brass, consistent projectile dimensions, and quality components. It has been professionally deactivated to UK legal standards, ensuring it is completely inert while retaining its original casing, bullet, and primer.

Collectors value TZ-marked 9mm rounds for their connection to Israeli defense production, Cold War history, and export ammunition programs. This 1981 example is ideal for cartridge displays, international 9mm collections, or historical educational exhibits. Well-preserved and historically accurate, it offers a tangible link to Israel’s late 20th-century small-arms ammunition and is a must-have for specialist collectors and enthusiasts alike.
