Product Description
An original WW1 German 7.92×57mm Mauser inert cartridge manufactured by Polte Armaturen- und Maschinenfabrik AG, Magdeburg, featuring the desirable S67 headstamp and dated April 1918.
The S67 code identifies production by the famous Polte factory, one of Germany’s major ammunition manufacturers during the First World War. German WW1 ammunition used the early “S” manufacturer numbering system prior to the later letter-code system introduced during the Second World War.
Produced in April 1918, this cartridge dates from the final year of the Great War and would have been intended for use in iconic German service weapons such as the Gewehr 98 rifle and MG08 machine gun.
The cartridge retains authentic wartime appearance with strong historical character, clear headstamp detail, and honest age-related patina. WW1 German Mauser rounds are increasingly sought after by collectors due to their direct connection to frontline Great War history and the variety of imperial-era manufacturer codes.
A superb addition for collectors of Imperial German militaria, WW1 ammunition, or Mauser rifle history.
This cartridge has been rendered completely inert and is safe for display purposes only.
