Product Description
Original WW2-era inert 7.92×57mm Mauser cartridge with ad St+ 1944 headstamp, manufactured by Waffenwerke Brünn A.G. (Brno) under German control during the Second World War.
Dated 1944, this round represents late-war production, when steel cases were widely used due to material shortages. The St+ marking denotes an improved steel case, typically lacquered to enhance durability and corrosion resistance.
Brünn was one of the key industrial centres within occupied Europe, contributing significantly to German small arms and ammunition production.
This cartridge would have been standard issue for German forces, used in the Kar98k rifle, MG34, and MG42 machine guns.
The headstamp is clear and well defined, making this a strong collector’s piece, display round, or reference example, particularly for those focusing on occupation-manufactured ammunition.
✔ Dated 1944 (late WW2 production)
✔ Waffenwerke Brünn manufacture (ad code)
✔ Improved steel case (St+)
✔ Occupied-factory production
✔ Fully inert – no live components
A solid and collectible example of late-war German ammunition from a major occupied factory.
