Product Description

Original inert 7.62×51 NATO cartridge with RG 63 headstamp, manufactured at the famous Royal Ordnance Factory Radway Green (RG), United Kingdom.

Dated 1963, this cartridge represents early Cold War British military production of the 7.62 NATO round, introduced as the standard NATO service calibre following the replacement of the .303 British cartridge in frontline service.

Radway Green became the principal producer of British 7.62 NATO ammunition, supplying cartridges for service weapons such as the L1A1 SLR, GPMG, and other NATO-standard firearms.

Featuring the classic bottleneck 7.62 NATO case design and original military headstamp, this example makes an excellent addition to any Cold War militaria collection, British military display, or NATO ammunition reference set.
