Product Description
Original inert 6.5×54 Mannlicher–Schönauer cartridge manufactured by DWM (Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken), one of Imperial Germany’s most prestigious ammunition manufacturers. The DWM K447 designation identifies this cartridge as part of DWM’s famous export catalogue system used for military and sporting ammunition during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The 6.5×54 Mannlicher–Schönauer cartridge became internationally respected for its outstanding accuracy, smooth feeding, and excellent hunting performance. Originally associated with Greek Mannlicher rifles and later famous in high-quality European sporting rifles, the calibre gained legendary status among hunters and collectors alike.
This example features a nickel-coloured round nose projectile, original blue primer annulus seal, crisp DWM K447 headstamp markings, and an attractive aged brass finish with excellent overall display appeal. A highly collectible inert cartridge ideal for Mannlicher, DWM, sporting rifle, and early military ammunition collections.
