Product Description
This original .50 calibre (12.7×99mm) inert round features a “42 TW” headstamp, identifying it as a genuine World War Two production example manufactured in 1942 at the Twin Cities Ordnance Plant in Minnesota, USA. This facility was one of the key American ammunition plants supplying Allied forces during the war, producing vast quantities of ammunition for aircraft and heavy machine guns.
The .50 calibre round became iconic during WWII, widely used in Browning M2 machine guns fitted to bombers, fighters, and ground units. Its large size and unmistakable profile make it one of the most recognisable military cartridges ever produced, and a staple in any serious militaria collection.
This example has been rendered completely inert and safe, with no active components, making it suitable for display, educational use, or as part of a historical collection. It retains strong visual appeal and represents an authentic piece of wartime production.
A solid and highly collectable example of American WWII ammunition, ideal for both new and experienced collectors looking to own a genuine piece of history.
