Product Description
Original inert .50 Cal Browning machine gun round featuring an EMZ 1985 headstamp, manufactured by Eurometaal Zaandam NV (EMZ) in the Netherlands during the Cold War era. Eurometaal was a major NATO ammunition producer, supplying a wide range of military calibres to European and allied armed forces throughout the latter half of the 20th century.
The .50 BMG (12.7×99mm NATO) cartridge became one of the most iconic heavy machine gun rounds ever produced, famously used in the Browning M2 heavy machine gun for vehicle mounting, defensive positions, anti-aircraft use, and long-range heavy support roles across NATO forces worldwide.
This 1985-dated inert example is a superb Cold War display cartridge and makes an excellent addition to any militaria or ammunition collection. Eurometaal-produced .50 calibre rounds are becoming increasingly sought after by collectors due to their NATO association and comparatively lower availability compared with British and US-manufactured examples.
An impressive and instantly recognisable display round ideal for collectors of NATO ammunition, heavy machine gun cartridges, and Cold War militaria.
Completely inert and sold for display and collecting purposes only.
