Product Description

Original inert .50 Cal Browning machine gun round featuring an EMZ 1978 headstamp, manufactured by Eurometaal Zaandam NV (EMZ) in the Netherlands during the Cold War era. EMZ was a major NATO ammunition producer and supplied a wide range of military calibres for European defence forces throughout the 1970s and 1980s.

The .50 BMG cartridge became one of the most recognisable heavy machine gun rounds ever produced, famously used in Browning M2 heavy machine guns mounted on armoured vehicles, aircraft, naval mounts, and defensive positions across NATO forces worldwide.

This 1978-dated inert example is an excellent collector’s display piece and represents classic Cold War NATO ammunition production. Eurometaal-produced .50 calibre rounds are increasingly sought after by militaria and ammunition collectors due to their NATO association and comparatively lower survival rate compared to British and US-produced examples.

An impressive display cartridge for collectors of inert ammunition, Cold War militaria, NATO ordnance, or heavy machine gun ammunition.

Completely inert and safe for display purposes only.
