Product Description

Original .416 Rigby Nitro large-bore sporting cartridge, now completely inert and offered solely as a collectable historical ammunition example.

The .416 Rigby was introduced by the renowned London gunmaker John Rigby & Co. in 1911 and became one of Britain's most celebrated dangerous-game cartridges. Designed for use in magazine rifles, it earned an outstanding reputation amongst professional hunters and sportsmen in Africa and India.

This example carries the impressive full headstamp:

“RIGBY .416 NITRO” with “K” marking.

The K marking indicates Kynoch manufacture, one of Britain's most important historic ammunition manufacturers and a major producer of sporting and big-game ammunition.

It retains a large brass case together with a traditional round-nosed jacketed projectile, giving it the classic appearance associated with British Nitro Express-era safari ammunition.
