Product Description
Original WW1-era inert .303 British cartridge with P 1916 headstamp, manufactured by the Peters Cartridge Company, Kings Mills, Ohio, USA under British wartime contract during the First World War.
Dated 1916, this cartridge represents part of the large-scale American ammunition production programme established to support British and Commonwealth forces during WW1.
The .303 British cartridge was the standard service ammunition used in iconic weapons such as the Lee-Enfield rifle and Vickers machine gun, with US manufacturers supplying millions of rounds throughout the conflict.
Featuring the classic rimmed .303 British case design and wartime headstamp format, this example makes an excellent addition to any WW1 militaria collection, British ammunition display, or headstamp reference set.
