Product Description
An original inert .303 British cartridge dated 1918, produced by Kynoch during the final year of the First World War. The headstamp “Z K 18” identifies this round as Kynoch manufacture, with the “Z” denoting nitrocellulose (smokeless) propellant, a key development in British military ammunition of the period.
This cartridge would have been issued for use in the iconic Lee-Enfield rifle, the standard service weapon of British and Commonwealth forces throughout WW1. Ammunition from 1918 represents the peak of wartime production, making surviving examples increasingly desirable to collectors.
This example is completely inert and safe for display, with no live primer or propellant present. It retains its original brass case and bullet, offering an authentic and untouched piece of military history rather than a reproduction.
A highly collectible WW1-era cartridge, ideal for serious ammunition collectors, historical displays, or as part of a broader .303 British collection. Early dated rounds such as this are particularly sought after due to their direct connection to the First World War.
