Product Description
Original inert .303 British cartridge with G 1928 headstamp, manufactured by Greenwood & Batley, Leeds, United Kingdom.
Dated 1928, this cartridge represents interwar British military production of the famous .303 British service round, widely used throughout the British Empire in weapons such as the Lee-Enfield rifle, Bren gun, and Vickers machine gun.
The G headstamp identifies manufacture by Greenwood & Batley, one of Britain’s important military ammunition contractors during the early 20th century. During this period the company used the simplified “G” factory code before later reverting back to “GB” markings.
Featuring the classic rimmed .303 British case design and original military headstamp format, this example makes an excellent addition to any British militaria collection, .303 display, or headstamp reference set.
