Product Description

Original inert .303 British Mk VII cartridge with E 14 headstamp, manufactured in 1914 by Eley Brothers Ltd., London, England.

The E factory code denotes Eley, one of Britain’s best-known ammunition manufacturers and an important supplier of .303 British military cartridges during the First World War period. The 14 date identifies this round as an early WW1 production example manufactured during the opening year of the conflict.

The Mk VII loading was the standard British .303 military cartridge used in the SMLE Lee-Enfield rifle as well as Vickers and Lewis machine guns throughout WW1.

1914 dated cartridges are particularly desirable to collectors due to their association with the outbreak phase of the Great War and early wartime production.

A genuine inert WW1 display cartridge ideal for British militaria, Lee-Enfield and ammunition collections.

Inert and safe for display purposes only.
