The “W.R.A.Co” marking stands for Winchester Repeating Arms Company, one of America’s best-known ammunition manufacturers. The “.30 G 1906” marking refers to the .30 Government Model of 1906 cartridge — the official original designation for the .30-06 Springfield round adopted by the US military.
The .30-06 became one of the most famous military rifle cartridges ever produced, serving through both World Wars and used in legendary firearms including the M1903 Springfield and later the M1 Garand.
This example is an attractive early-pattern collector cartridge with classic Winchester commercial-style headstamp markings.
