Product Description

This original French Foreign Legion webbing yoke and medical pouch, dating to circa 1950, is a fine example of post-World War II French Army personal equipment. Issued to legionnaires and other French forces during the early Cold War period, this set formed part of the standard load-carrying equipment used in demanding overseas theatres, including Indochina and North Africa.

The webbing yoke is constructed from heavy-duty canvas webbing designed to distribute the weight of equipment evenly across the shoulders, improving comfort and endurance during extended operations. The accompanying medical pouch was intended to carry first aid dressings and essential medical supplies, ensuring quick access in the field. Both items reflect the practical, robust design philosophy of French military equipment of the era.

Presented in used condition, the set shows genuine service wear consistent with age and military use, adding authenticity and character. An excellent addition to any French Foreign Legion, French Army, or post-WWII militaria collection, it also displays well as part of a complete Legion field gear ensemble.
