Product Description

This original French Foreign Legion weapon cleaning set, housed in a leather pouch and complete with oil bottle, cleaning brush, and multi-purpose tool, is a fine example of post-war French military field equipment dating to circa 1950. Issued to legionnaires and French Army personnel, such kits were an essential part of daily weapon maintenance, ensuring reliability in harsh operational environments.

The pouch is constructed from robust brown leather, designed to protect the contents while withstanding prolonged field use. It typically secured to a webbing belt or pack, allowing easy access during cleaning routines in barracks or on campaign. The included components reflect standard French military practice of the era and were suitable for servicing commonly issued small arms, including submachine guns and rifles used by the Legion.

Offered in used condition, the pouch and tools show honest service wear consistent with age and military use, adding authenticity and character. This complete set is highly desirable for collectors of French Foreign Legion, post-WWII French Army, or Cold War militaria, and displays exceptionally well alongside weapons accessories and field gear.
