  • This was a Prigionieri di Guerra (P.G.) camp located near Bologna, specifically at Castel San Pietro. It functioned primarily as a hospital camp for Allied POWs held in Italy 

  • The camp featured medical facilities rather than traditional barracks—more of a convalescent hospital setting.
