Product Description
This original .50 calibre (12.7×99mm) inert round features a simple yet distinctive “K 50” headstamp, identifying it as a 1950 production example manufactured by Kynoch, one of Britain’s most well-known ammunition makers. Produced in the early post-war period, this round represents the transition from World War Two production into the early Cold War era.
Kynoch supplied ammunition to British and allied forces for decades, and .50 calibre rounds such as this were commonly used in heavy machine guns, including the iconic Browning M2 platform. Compared to more commonly encountered American WWII examples, British Kynoch-marked rounds are less frequently seen on the collector market, making them an appealing addition for those looking to diversify their collection.
This example has been rendered completely inert and safe, containing no active components. It is ideal for display, educational purposes, or as part of a wider militaria or ammunition collection. The clean headstamp and classic proportions of the .50 calibre cartridge give it strong visual presence.
A genuine piece of early Cold War-era British ammunition history, suitable for both new and experienced collectors.
