Product Description

The British 6 Pounder (57mm) Common Pointed Explosive Shell with Base Fuze is a significant artillery round used during World War II, primarily in anti-tank and naval roles. This shell features a pointed nose designed for aerodynamic efficiency and penetration, while its explosive charge is designed to maximize damage upon impact. The base fuze mechanism, located at the shell's rear, ensures detonation upon penetration, making it highly effective against armored targets.

Manufactured with precision, the 6 Pounder shell played a crucial role in British anti-tank warfare, providing infantry and tank units with the firepower needed to combat German armored vehicles. Its design reflects the technological advancements and strategic necessities of the time. Today, these shells are highly valued by military historians and collectors, symbolizing the innovation and resilience of the British armed forces during the war. Their robust construction and historical significance make them important artifacts of World War II artillery
