Product Description
-
This set of five inert 7.92×57mm Mauser cartridges on an original WWII German stripper clip is an excellent example of early‑war ammunition produced for the Wehrmacht. Each cartridge is headstamped “P154 – 16, 1939”, identifying manufacture by Polte‑Werk, Kommandit‑Gesellschaft, Magdeburg, one of Germany’s most important and productive ammunition factories during the Second World War. Polte supplied vast quantities of rifle ammunition for use in iconic German weapons such as the Karabiner 98k.
All rounds in this set have been professionally rendered fully inert, containing no live primer or propellant, making them completely safe for handling and display. Despite deactivation, they retain their correct case finish, bullet profiles, and wartime markings, offering collectors a clear representation of genuine 1939 production.
The included original steel stripper clip is period‑correct and allows rapid loading of the K98k’s internal magazine—an essential accessory for the German infantryman. Complete, matching‑era sets like this are increasingly desirable due to their historical value and diminishing availability.
Ideal for collectors of German WWII militaria, ammunition researchers, or museum‑style displays, this P154‑marked 1939 7.92×57mm strippered set is a historically significant and visually appealing addition to any collection.
