Product Description
The 25 Karbovanets voucher was issued in 1991 by the National Bank of Ukraine as a provisional currency during the transition following Ukraine’s independence from the Soviet Union. This voucher is part of Ukraine’s early attempt to establish a national monetary system before the introduction of the full karbovanets series and later the hryvnia. It reflects the economic uncertainty and rapid changes of the period. Typically printed on paper with simple design elements and denomination markings, the voucher was used in daily transactions during the early post‑Soviet inflationary era. Today, these vouchers are sought by collectors of Eastern European obsolete currencies as historical relics of Ukraine’s economic transition.
