Product Description
The 25 Ruble banknote was issued in 1961 by the State Bank of the USSR (Gosbank) as part of the fourth series of Soviet currency introduced after the 1961 monetary reform, which redenominated the ruble at 10:1. The obverse (front) features the state emblem of the USSR, decorative borders, and the denomination in both Cyrillic and Latin numerals. The reverse (back) depicts allegorical scenes representing Soviet industry and agriculture, reflecting the era’s emphasis on economic modernization and collective labor. Printed on durable cotton paper, the note measures approximately 157 × 69 mm. It remained in circulation until later redesigns of Soviet currency and is now a popular collectible among numismatists and those interested in Soviet-era history.
