Product Description
An original 1933 dated Danish 8×58R Krag inert cartridge featuring the distinctive HL arsenal headstamp, representing genuine interwar Danish military ammunition production.
The 8×58R Danish Krag cartridge was developed for use in the famous Krag–Jørgensen rifle system, one of the most influential military rifle designs of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Denmark adopted the calibre for military service, where it remained in use for many years before later replacement by more modern cartridge systems.
The HL marking identifies production associated with the Hærens Laboratorium (Danish Army Laboratory), an important part of Denmark’s military ammunition manufacturing and testing system. Dated 1933, this cartridge originates from the interwar period and represents continued Danish military stock production between the two World Wars.
The long rimmed case and classic military profile give the cartridge strong visual appeal, making it an excellent collectible for enthusiasts of Scandinavian militaria, Krag rifles, or obsolete military ammunition.
This example retains authentic period appearance with clear headstamp markings and attractive age-related patina.
