Product Description
An original French 8×50R Lebel inert cartridge dated 1927, featuring a clear BDE headstamp with 2nd quarter production (2/27). This example represents interwar French military ammunition, produced during the period between the First and Second World Wars when Lebel cartridges remained in widespread service and reserve stocks.
The headstamp displays the typical French format of the era, with supplier and production markings rather than the earlier full arsenal identifiers. The BDE marking relates to the brass supplier, making this a good example of the evolving French ammunition manufacturing system during the 1920s.
The case shows honest age-related patina, adding to its authenticity and display appeal. These interwar Lebel rounds are increasingly collected both as historical items in their own right and as part of date runs spanning WW1 to WW2 production.
Ideal for collectors of French military ammunition, WW1/WW2 transitional items, or Lebel rifle history, this round also makes a strong standalone display piece.
This round is completely inert and safe for display purposes only.
