Product Description

An original 1924 dated Italian 6.5×52mm Carcano inert cartridge featuring the distinctive RP headstamp, representing genuine interwar Italian military ammunition production.

The 6.5×52mm Carcano cartridge served as the standard rifle calibre of the Italian armed forces during the early and mid-20th century and is closely associated with the famous Carcano rifle system used extensively before and during the Second World War.

The RP marking identifies production associated with the Pirotecnico di Roma (Rome Arsenal), an important Italian military ammunition manufacturing facility during the interwar period. Dated 1924, this cartridge originates from the years between the First and Second World Wars and reflects early Fascist-era Italian military production.

The cartridge retains authentic period appearance with attractive age-related patina and strong historical character. Interwar Italian Carcano ammunition is increasingly sought after by collectors due to its historical significance and comparatively lower availability than more common British or German military cartridges.

An excellent addition to collections focused on Italian militaria, Carcano rifles, or interwar military ammunition.
