Product Description
This set consists of five inert .303 British rounds, all headstamped “GB 41”, securely fitted into an original steel Lee-Enfield charger. Manufactured in 1941, these cartridges were produced during the height of Britain’s wartime ammunition output, making them a desirable and authentic example of mid-WWII small-arms production.
The “GB” headstamp identifies Greenwood & Batley, Leeds, one of the key British ammunition manufacturers supplying .303 rifle cartridges for the Lee-Enfield, Bren gun and Vickers machine gun. Their wartime output is well known for its reliability and distinctively stamped cases. The charger clip itself is the classic Mk III / Mk IV pattern, designed for rapid loading of the SMLE and No. 4 Lee-Enfield rifles.
All rounds have been professionally deactivated, featuring struck primers and no propellant, and are fully legal to own in the UK. The brass cases retain their wartime patina, providing an authentic period appearance ideal for displays, collections or re-creating WWII rifle equipment.
A complete 5-round charger with matching 1941 GB headstamps is a particularly attractive collectible, offering a coherent and historically accurate example of British ammunition exactly as issued to soldiers during the Second World War. Perfect for Lee-Enfield enthusiasts, ammunition headstamp collectors or wartime equipment displays.
